First Sgt. Ed Martinelli helps Master Sgt. Timothy Palmer put on his pack as they prepare their belongings, with other Army National Guardsmen, Friday, Sept. 2, 2005 at the Mesa Armory in San Diego. The National Guardsmen are being deployed to New Orleans to help in recovery efforts from Hurricane Katrina.

.. and the 82nd will/are there. We are about to, IMHO, witness an amazing and immediate and very silent "stoppage" to the looting, snipers, and violence in NO.

MSM would do best, IMHO, to focus on the evacuees being "temp" settled into the arms of loving neighbors, on all scales: State, families, agencies, private orgs. IOW, time for them to pack up their cameras, and perhaps get onto one of those evacuee buses.
