I can't recall it
Heh! It's not full-auto.
Hi, when & where did Mary say this? We need to send her & the gov somewhere while they get a grip with both hands
That's very sweet of you to say. Thanks. :)
In short, hell no.
Folks may be jumping on the "anti-Bush bandwagon" from here to kingdom come on the MSM.
However... in their private thoughts, how many viewers to the MSM are thinking.. Oh Gee.. Get Those Hysterics in charge? They'd never solve anything; they'd revert to an ad nauseum list of ad hominems. I don't feel so safe now... And I'm not sure I wanna know them. If I'm not on their "buddy" list, they are going to do the same thing to me. Eek."
So yes, I do commisserate with you in re President Bush. However, I don't think President Bush is paying a damned whit's worth of attention to the ad hominems -- he's focused on the Katrina disaster areas, Iraq, Afghanistan, domestic economy and policy, working out arrangements with other countries.
Besides, one of the great things about constantly being the subject of ridiculous ad hominems from liberals? You don't even hear those verbal assault anymore. You know why? You just get real focused upon what they are hiding in the fist behind their backs. The words mean nothing.
Oh yeah, but the worst part was being stuck with only NPR for news. :)
If Bush shows up, he's maligned. If he doesn't show up, he's maligned. Despite some of his choices during a difficult presidency, I think he's almost a living martyr, giving his all. How many others can say that? Their all is just slinging mud, insults, and blame. Fie on 'em.
I'll remember who said all those nasty things the next election that's for sure. So will a lot of other people.
When it all comes out in the wash, the people who are making so much trouble for him are not going to end up looking good. They aren't acting like rational human beings. Their hysterical ranting is whipping up people to hate even more.
If we have a civil war or regional chaos over this, the blame will be laid squarely on their shoulders ultimately, and those of all the hatemongers, including conservative hatemongers. You can make a point without taking the country down with you.
This race baiting has got to stop!!! It's been part of the problem for a long time now.
I have not read all six thousand messages on this thread but I do hope someone has pointed out that Mr. Aaron Brown of CNN is among the biggest jack***es among the sorry crowd of MSM commentators. Last night (hopefully I will avoid him tonight), he sat there in smug disbelief over the supposedly inadequate federal response, this from a news reader who is not responsible for organizing a lemonade stand let alone mobilizing the massive federal response under conditions including gross incompetence of state and local officials. Sadly, I have to say that Joe Scarborough is not far behind.

They don't care about credit
They want their percentage off the top. That is the way it is done in La. For decades.
Allow me to give you an unsolicited OP-ED
There is no sane person who would have wished this event. Hurricanes are a fact of life. The Dems will pin it on Bush but this event was eons in the making.
And one can predict with 99% confidence that [insert your favorite Gulf or SE Atlantic coast city] will be blown off the map - at some point in time.
About the only good that will come of this event is to ask - how will be prepared for the next big event (earthquake, flood, nuclear attack)?
Right now - we need to focus on news. Recriminations will occur.
Final op ed - the country is already divided. This storm will acerbate that divide. But that divide will not be eternal.
We are a strong nation. This storm will cause - hopefully - a strong recall of our core values and reset our direction as a nation.
If you are suggesting I should sell my clothes on eBay, I am donating them to the hurricane survivors.
You said you had too many. That's all.

I have a MUCH earlier photo of the 17th street levee breach, and I can't seem to find the barge in that one. So, I wonder if the photos are of two different breeches.
Well well well. Something positive from geraldo. said the President is rallying everyone to help. And the church groups are allowed in! LOL
The Queen of FoxNews is on the air.
see post 5331. Go to Day Three, Floods/Rescue, Photo 5.
Its a shockwave set of photos, I don't think the image can be embedded on a thread.
You are correct...That's why I love our President..I wish I was more like him.
