Tancredo has attracted a powerful ally in House Majority Leader Tom DeLay (R.-Tex.), who said last month that before Congress enacts any guest-worker program supported by Bush it must first strengthen enforcement.

DeLay's too smart not to notice the public groundswell---especially from the Republican base---demanding border security and law enforcement. No one but corporate scofflaws and their on-line whores believes the Republican Party should stand for lawlessness and neglect of national defense.
