According to Jesse Jackson last night, these stories are not true and have been blown out of proportion.Of course he would know this because he is down there with the EMS,National Guard,N.O. cops,and his fellow brothers and sisters trying to save lives and control the chaos in the last 5 days......oh...wait...sorry...nevermind.
My question is when JJ arrives today after half of the people have been bused out of town and the safety of the city becomes under more and more control...which hotel is he going to stay at and how many cameras is he going to have with him?
Inquiring minds want to know? Or will he be the false camera hog that he is and come in for a few hours,do a hit and run on Bush and give his N.O. Mayor a free pass and the La.Gov. a free pass since they share the (D)= for Disaster, next to his name?
They can't face the truth, which is that they themselves are the people most responsible for the despicable situation which has been allowed to form over the past 40 years.
Pres Bush needs to call them on this and tell them to stop their damn b*tching and do something. "Not impressed with FEMA" well excuse me, but are you(congress) not the ones who fund and control FEMA! Do something about it! The speaker for the black caucus is not much better than some of the snipers in New Orleans taking shots at rescue persons. Why is there even a Congressional "Black" Caucus?" I mean the 60s are over now, blacks are now equal and are afforded full civil rights. Imagine the outrage if there was a White Caucus.
One of the first rules of dirty politics is that if you know that you or your friends are to blame for something (like the black democrats in Congress know that the black democrats running Louisiana and New Orleans are to blame) you immediately blame your opposition. It muddies the waters and blunts the blame when it does come around to point in your direction. This is typical leftist democrat tactics.

This country is based on freedom, and that means the freedom for everyone, not just you! You may leave the room, turn the channel, express a different opinion, etc., but the world is full of idiots and probably always will be.
ARTICLE III -- You do not have the right to be free from harm.
If you stick a screwdriver in your eye, learn to be more careful. Do not expect the tool manufacturer to make you and all your relatives independently wealthy.
ARTICLE IV -- You do not have the right to free food and housing.
Americans are the most charitable people to be found, and will gladly help anyone in need but we are quickly growing weary of subsidizing generations of professional couch potatoes who achieve nothing more than the creation of another generation of professional couch potatoes.
ARTICLE V -- You do not have the right to free health care.
That would be nice but, from the looks of public housing, we're just not interested in government run health care.
ARTICLE VI -- You do not have the right to physically harm other people.
If you kidnap, rape, intentionally maim or kill someone, don't be surprised if the rest of us want to see you fry in the electric chair.
ARTICLE VII -- You do not have the right to the possessions of others.
If you rob, cheat or coerce away the goods or services of other citizens, don't be surprised if the rest of us get together and lock you away in a place where you still won't have the right to a big screen TV or a life of leisure.
ARTICLE VIII -- You don't have the right to demand that our children risk their lives in foreign wars to soothe your aching conscience.
We hate oppressive governments and won't lift a finger to stop you from going to fight, if you'd like. However, we do not enjoy parenting the entire world and do not want to spend so much of our time battling each and every little tyrant with a military uniform and a funny hat.

All of us sure want all of you to have one, and will gladly help you in hard times, but we expect you to take advantage of the opportunities of education and vocational training laid before you to make yourself useful.

Being an American means that you have the right to pursue happiness -- which by the way, is a lot easier if you are unencumbered by an over abundance of idiotic laws created by those of you who were confused by the Bill of Rights.

So many refugees here in MO that are trying to put clothes on and go back to school, find work, etc. My money is staying LOCALLY and get these people that God gave feet a hand up!!!
I suggest others seek out refugees that got out Saturday or Sunday and help them out personally with stuff. These are the real citizens!!!! Parents of displaced hospitalized infants will need board and start-up as well.
Hi...I live in central Louisiana...which is housing thousands of evacuees...let me tell what is being done...school in 5 parishes are closed today and more than likely will be closed tuesday....we are sending school buses down to help get out the people. This will go on ...bus after bus until it is done....not to mention the people I know who are taking boats down there and joining in the searches...It hurts when the black caucus make it out to be a race thing....the thousands of people that have come out have been taken out with out regard to race. The thousands taken into shelters...have been without regard to race....Stop playing the race card...you are inciting and this is wrong. Shut up your mouths and get off your asses ...get off the tv and get down there with the police, the national guard, the school buses and their drivers....this is how you can help.
