It's interesting how extreme conservatives, who want NO power in the federal government, expect the President to wave a magic wand, disobey the law, and fix the problem immediately.

The lack of logic and consistency of the bashers gets worse every day.....

from Scrappleface

One New Orleans man, currently living in the 'Plaza End Zone' section of the Superdome as he awaits news of his missing family members, said, "I can survive for some time with little water, no food and highly unsanitary conditions...but if I don't hear some poetic words of comfort and stirring verbal imagery from the president pretty soon, I'm a goner."

Think this about sums up some of the "conservatives" on the forum? LOL

Yes, I think you have got the truth of the matter. If the feds had moved in without the permission from Gov. Blancho, the President would have violated the Constitution and federal law. It would be impeachment time; especially if Katrina had fizzeled out or gone elsewhere (as some were expecting to do). I suspect a game of gotcha was in play here.

So true and ironic. It's never ending either. I can't believe the first line of attack was Bush not signing the Kyoto treaty. Thank goodness he didn't. You know, if it wasn't this it would be something else.

I pray for all in the path of this hurricane. I do blame the hurricane, and the local/state government for not ever considering this scenerio planning, preparing, or any forethought to this happening. They knew this was where they lived and this could happen. This tells me if a Terriorist attack occurred in New Orleans, they had no plan for that either. After 9/11 you would think they had some kind of emergency planning.

I also blame the Thugs who raped, killed and stole from the dead. Shot at volunteers, rescuers and people trying to deliver needed items. I wonder, will Bush be blamed for them next?
