To be fair and reasonable, since Nagin's office and 80% of his city is flooded it probably was difficult for him to write a letter to the president. Had he written it, he would have either needed to fax it (no electricity) or mail it. Do you think USPS is still doing pick ups?
As for those comparing a natural disaster that flooded a city and destroyed surrounding states and cities, with a terrorist attack that took down less than 1 block, is also unfair. Food, water and information were available to those in NYC.
As for the writer who says the mayors constituents are on drugs, perhaps you are one of the people who would have preferred to see them all drown?
