Yeah -- I heard that, too, and been trying to visualize how that would work, assuming the toilet is intact and not "fountaining"...

The water is clean before it flows into the bowl, the only germs are on the bowl surface itself.
You can drink water from the tank.
Heard last night they had shower facilities set up outside the Astrodome.
