When I hear the FEMA guy claim that they have taken care of the people at the Convention Center, and then turn on FNC/MSNBC/CNN and see people packed in there like cattle, I have to wonder if the FEMA guy truly knows what he is talking about or whether he's got his head in his rectal orifice?

That's what I was saying earlier. All the FEMA guy did yesterday was television interviews. I mean... one right after the other on all networks and radio shows. Fine. Give an interview or two. But I'd like to know just when he does his job. I heard him say this morning they had been getting help to those at the convention Center "for days." Total BS.

Thank you, mhking.

We seem to be in the minority here on the forum wrt the BS coming out of the FEMA director's mouth.

I didn't believe a word he said. Still don't.

TWF..when I heard the nurse from the Charity Hospital, I broke down. It's getting worse in New Orleans.

From what I've been reading on here, it sounds like they're literally doing drive-by supply runs; shoving MREs and water off the back of a truck and driving away. If that's the case, then of course the young and strong will get it all and the kids and elderly will suffer.

That's what's so frustrating. Just a couple of miles (or less) away from 15,000 desperate people, up on I-10 westbound, we've got an incredible force assembled. Aid workers, military, police, volunteers in their thousands...helicopters, trucks, buses by the hundreds...tons and tons of supplies. And yet we can't help these people with anything more than some dump-and-runs off the back of a truck? Argh, it breaks my heart thinking about it.

I know the boots on the ground there are doing everything they can, but still, just DAMN. I just have a lot of trouble accepting that this is the best we can do. Maybe it is, but it's very hard to accept that if true.

Wow, looking at NBC and ABC today. The President and the Fed response are really taking a hit today. They are starting to use the race card already. The lib press really sees blood in the water.

It is like a coach for a bad football team, if you are the coach you are always going to take the blame. It is sickening to see how disatrous this response has been.

I hope good things start to happen today.
