I'm trying to understand why Nagin has time for all the interviews.

Nagin doesn't seem to understand that unless he works to save his city first, he doesn't have to worry about saving his career.

"I'm trying to understand why Nagin has time for all the interviews."
that's easy -- he doesn't have a city to be mayor of anymore.

He really needs to stop getting air time and actually do some work in a command center with the FEMA folks.
He's talking and none of the people who need to hear him, can hear him.
I'd love to know if he really did ask the Governor to declare martial law days ago and she declined.

I'm listening to the Nagin interview on WWL-AM; the one thing I can't figure out is what the hell is HE doing right now other than pointing the finger?
What's worse, is that the announcers are cheering him.
There's plenty of time to point the finger, but what can we do to get this done? How can we get this done? How can we stop the looters and snipers? How can we save people's lives?
Am I missing something here?
