turned on the TV to CNN, and the first thing I heard was, Quote, "The Bush Administration cut funding...." Unquote.

I wonder if you switched during the Olbermann show. Isn't he the DU sweetheart? It got really good when he had Sharpton on, fresh from his holding hands with Sheehan. By "good" I mean bilious.

"I wonder if you switched during the Olbermann show."

Naaaahh... I don't think I've watched more than 2 minutes, total, of Olbermann in the past three years...

I switched over to F0X, where Oreilly is doing his usual whining, obfuscating, and demanding the impossible. He's not any better, but from long practice, I've learned to tune him out to the level of background noise...

:)

Ted Koppel has hit a new low tonight.

He's devoting his entire Nightline show to trashing the president.

"He's too late and the help is inconsistent...blah blah blah...Bush bad...blah blah blah..."

NOTHING about the primary responsibility of the LOCAL authorities to take care of this.
NOTHING about the fact that the president warned the locals beforehand to evacuate.
NOTHING about the fact that the mayor and governor waited until it was too late to do something. And are still fumbling and bumbling, four days later.
NOTHING about the lack of foresight of the local governments for the past several decades to plan ahead for this inevitable occurence.

Only "Bush is to blame, etc. etc......"

Right now I am getting irritated by Larry King who was interviewing Jesse Jackson. When Jesse was seemingly denying the reports of looting and then went on to say that he could not believe rescuers stopped evacuations due to a little sniper fire, and then referred to the fact our troops never let a little sniper fire stop them, Larry did not press him on the issue at all. No, hey Jesse, these are civilians along with some law enforcement doing the rescuing not soldiers. No, hey Jesse, looting for food is one thing, but TV's are not a need especially without electric....And Larry happily says that wee will get to hear more from Jesse tomorrow...hmmm sure am looking forward to those lies here...hope that tomorrow some reporter on some network will call Jesse out for the BS'er he is...
