I'll never forget watching CNN on the morning of 9/11-we knew the WTC had been hit, but, the rumors about DC targets were just beginning.
Aaron Brown was interviewing by phone, a former neighbor who now lived in DC and had called in with an eyewitness report on what she had just seen.
Brown- I'm talking to my former neighbor, Jane Doe , who now lives in Washington and has just called in on her way to work. Jane, please tell us what you see.
Doe- Aaron, I was driving down xyz street, right in front of the Pentagon and a large airliner has just struck the Pentagon !! There's smoke and fire everywhere !
Brown-( I swear I am not making this up )
Now, Jane, is this your normal route to work ?
I was incredulous,to say the least, that Brown completely missed what she said and was more interested in her commute to work.
