Anyway, he insists he saw the kids drown. He's getting dialysis now. We're reaching the outer limits for survival of those who haven't left NO and need that treatment. Katrina is long gone, but the death toll is likely to grow fast in the next couple of days. And I'm referring to people who are currently alive, not already dead.
I don't doubt it. People are desperate, and they mistook the boaters for decent folks. This is horrible, just horrible. May the Lord protect the living, and drill some sense into those in charge.
