Does this mean Rosseau was wrong?

He maintained that human beings were essentially good and equal in the state of nature but were corrupted by the introduction of property, agriculture, science, and commerce..... I would say that what you see before your eyes is the true nature of uncivilized people controlling the few civilized people left in a natural disaster.

Marx maintained it as well - typical Enlightenment thinking. Anarchy like this really puts the nail in the coffin of that idea, IMO.
