It IS shameful -- I'm not proud of our response at all, and what about its implications in another terrorist strike? this is 4 years after 9/11 - good grief

And it seems to me that the folks in the tsunami got quicker relief than our own people! How hard is it to drop some damn water bottles already?? Are we a SuperPower or aren't we?

I think we just got caught with our super-power pants down. We've just learned (and so has Osama B.L.) that we aren't so super-power when it comes to a true dissater on a massive scale. One can only hope that this is a wake up call for everyone nationwide.

I really don't understand why people think it's very easy to get supplies in, but no one will do it. If they aren't doing it, I suspect it's because it's not doable at the moment. I don't think the *powers that be* are all just sitting back letting people starve/dehydrate/die because they're really not interested in helping.
