"If you can take the time, please do read the whole thread. Some of us were there as eyewitness and saw the huge thug cops cuff and haul away the kid who had stepped in a few feet into the driveway."
I wish I had the time but I simply can't read 700 posts right now.
If the kid was trespassing then it doesn't matter whether he took a few steps or 300 steps. He wouldn't have stopped if he hadn't been arrested. I also assume he knew he would be arrested. If he didn't, shame on his parents for not informing him.
It is difficult for you to make judgments unless you have the background. The background is there. That is what we are saying.
We all knew in that charged atmosphere that one little step into the heavily guarded phalanx would bring arrest. No question of Joshua not knowing or fearing the consequences. One who later became a good friend of mine was the first. Bo Gritz did the same later. I had no intention of doing it, myself but admired those who did.
The understanding of us all at the time was if you crossed that line, you would be subject to a fine. It was heavy. Pay it and be released and done with. I think we all knew it would be on a record. I do not know if they expected a Kangaroo Court months later when the focus of the media moved elsewhere.
This happened on Good Friday, the anniversary for us Christians of the horrible crucifiction of Our Lord and almost in mockery Terri lay helpless yards away being killed in the most painful way I can conjure.
Terri hadn't had a drink of water or even a drop since the killing process began. God bless Joshua for his courage.
The lay of the land around Hospice Woodside can only be imagined if you haven't seen it. One person on the sidewalk was pulled into an arrest and she was just standing there. The PPPD grabbed people who were just standing there minding their own business, not even approaching the cops little tent so they wouldn't get hot or dehydrated while checking Terri's parents and blood relatives' IDs before they could go see the suffering Terri. I saw the PD TURN AWAY Terri's blood relatives because Michael Schiavo was inside and he decided when and if Terri's blood relatives could even see her. One of the police told Terri's sister "This isn't a game maam." Kind of totally inappropriate since they were helping Judge Greer, psuedo-religions, left wingers, death lawyers kill her. No shame. "This isn't a game maam" he says as he makes her blood family show him their IDs & makes them go back to the other side of the street where they were in misery that nobody would save Terri and she could not have an ice chip even though terminally ill patients get ice chips. There are pictures of the Schindlers having to show their ID's to go see the suffering Terri.
The cop at the bedside made sure the family stayed away from Terri, I believe it was at least a foot separation. They were searched and id'd. IT WAS UN-AMERICAN and ghastly.
The jack booted thug was right. It wasn't a game. It was a well orchestrated, pre-meditated murder of an innocent woman.
VILE.
