You have got to joking?

Oh, I know if you were joking you would say "A horse walks into a bar, and the bartender asks why the long face".

What bothers me is that there is a lot of things happening right now, and it is riding on everyone's emotions. There does not seem to be any pleasure(exception or not) in seeing otherwise sensible people arguing over so many different things all started with discussions over gas prices.

Under different circumstances this would not happen, and I think everyone needs to step away from the keyboard and take a deep breath, and think about what they are doing.

There are mush more important issues to deal with at the moment.

I understand you better now and, from your standpoint, agree with you.

But you must've mist great many threads about outsourcing of jobs, when all these "conservatives" were up in arms about programmers no longer able to get a "fair" price of $100/hour for their labor -- and how dare the companies, "greedy capitalist pigs," buy cheaper labor.

You must've missed all the threads about "capitalist pigs" gouging us with $60/gallon oil prices. All this happened before the hurricane and therefore has nothing to do with the current situation.

Wheat is has to do with is the ignorance about one of the main institutions of this society -- markets. And when even conservatives lack basic knowledge of their own country and espouse socialist ideas without even realizing that -- there is nothing more important than that.
