Nobody is talking about pushing a "religion" in science class.
I think the whole idea is to get science back into Science class. And when science evidences a God of the universe, that isn't a religion - it merely gives ground for a religion to exist with utter credibility. That is what actually seems to be the rub. Perhaps that is why you're all so busy about disinformation in this regard. It isn't ultimately about knowing the truth for you guys. Truth for you is immaterial to your own personal denials and whatever means may be necessary to convince yourselves that God can't exist. I like the scripture that states that the evidence of God is found in everything he made such that men are without excuse. But, that isn't part of the ID argument - ID is about the science that notices the evidence and properly notes the obvious. If useful information only arises from an intelligent origen, Science cannot merely ignore this and snow us all about that fact. Mainstream science has attempted to do just that; but, then that's why ID is so appealing. It's nice to have people in there dealing truthfully for once. Evolution will be defunded and scrapped for the lie it is. Kinda warms the heart don't it.
Intelligent Design doesn't come close to doing this, nor is it science.
