Religion needs a good shakeup. What is religion, essentially? It's a guy saying, "God told me you have to listen to what I say, and if you don't, then you'll burn forever." How does one verify these statements? One cannot except to see how the guy's statements stack up against reality. Hence, we have science.

You obviously know more about science than religion.

I have always regarded religion as a creation by Man to explain questions he cannot answer. People may or not agree with evolutionary tenets, but at least it's an attempt to answer questions by using logic and extrapolations from the observations of the fossil record and findings from the molecular clock. This makes more sense to me.

You need to stick to science. You obviously know nothing about religion (at least Christianity).

One cannot except to see how the guy's statements stack up against reality. Hence, we have science.

The naturalistic view of the world is the polar opposite of Christianity. When you look at a mountain, you see a fault that occurred 200 million years ago with trees on it. When you see a bird flying you see some chance event the result of random mutation and natural selection.

On the other hand, we see the beauty of God's creation in every thing we see and do.

It is kind of like the difference between going to a concert and feeling the totality of the music uplifting your soul versus analyzing the quality of the sound and guitar playing and vocals.

Having lived both lives, there is nothing more different than the naturalistic and religious view of the world.

Science may be good for building cars and Space shuttles, but it sucks as a way of looking at the world and seeing its magic and beauty.
