I am arguing that humans descended from apes.
We didn't descend from apes. We are apes. A distinction without a difference.
mlc9852 is saying we descended from apes
If we descended, without major physiological change, feom apes, we are apes.

We did not descend from apes. Apes are apes and humans are humans (well, at least most of us).

A distinction without a difference. If we descended, without major physiological change, feom apes, we are apes. Well that's the point. Going way back in our tree, we also descended from reptiles. However, we are not significantly different, from a purely physiological position, from any of the other apes. We are related more closely to Chimpanzees than Chimpanzees are related to other apes like gorillas.
