Who is we...lots of NOPD officers have resigned or are MIA
"They are starting to get closer to heavily populated areas hotels, hospitals and we're going to stop it right now," Nagin said.

I do not see stealing of clean water and food, I see stealing of liquor, TVs, jewelry, clothes, guns, non "essentials." This is not people starving in the desert, friend, it is a case of using a natural disaster to steal from your neighbor. Exactly! And it isn't simply stealing. It is unchecked lawlessnes that escalates into murder, rape and chaos.

The same with your willful ignorance of the facts.
We saw it yesterday.

Assuming you're serious I am serious. Please provide some evidence of freepers "delighting" in the looting, and "waxing rhapsodic" about the "'heroes' committing acts of theft". I'd really like to see this.
I'll hazard a guess that you are grossly mischaracterizing other people's posts. Feel free to post the evidence if I'm wrong, though.

Your comments have nothing to do with reality.
You know why prices aren't at $10? BECAUSE of the free market- it works to control excessive prices. The only people who would fall for $10 a gallon when everyone else is charging $3.00 is an idiot.
I'll ask the same question I asked all the other situational socialists who cry gouging:
Would you rather be able to buy gas at $3.50 a gallon, or have no gas to buy at $2.50 a gallon?
Beause the results of "controlling gouging" are the latter.

I could not care less about something made out of plastic and silicon chips, regardless if it belonged to me or BestBuy, when compared to a human life. Even if they are scum. On the other hand, I do not believe that the looters are the problem. I believe that anyone that is armed and shooting at rescue workers or LEOs should be dealt with accordingly. I happen to believe that if someone is looting, with their arms full of tvs, in a shopping area, and from what I've seen, are a lot of kids and women, is not going to be taking pot shots at rescuers. Resuers which are mostly working in residential areas. There is something more here than looting. This is why I do not believe looters should be shot on sight.

I still wonder what kind of moron runs off with a waterlogged TV through a city underwater with possibly no chance of electric service for weeks and no roof over his head.

The same type of moron who loots a grocery store to steal meat that has been unrefrigerated in 100 degree heat for three days.

Every time I turn to my constantly running TV, I do not see stealing of clean water and food, I see stealing of liquor, TVs, jewelry, clothes, guns, non "essentials." This is not people starving in the desert, friend, it is a case of using a natural disaster to steal from your neighbor. Have a good day! That's what I see too and its disguisting. I don't care what happens to these animals. But that's not what I was talking about. There is a group of people here that believe that people who steal water or food, even if its for survival, and even if its the only thing they steal, should be shot. Why is it not possible for people to separate the two? They are not the same thing. And just because people refer to the food/water does not mean that they are not outraged by what's actually occurring on a mass scale. Who knows, maybe there is not one single person in NOLA who only took water for survival, but if that person does exist, I don't think they should be shot to death.

What is sad is that after 35 years of Liberalism blocking new oil drilling, new refineries, etc. we are now in the position that one refinery location can cause a supply crisis in a matter of days.
No margin for error. Liberals don't want to or know how to fix the supply and demand needs for a growing economy that will continue to grow and the problem will only get worse.
Instead they scream about price gouging, instituting price freezes at the pumps, and driving electric cars.
As bad as it may seem, I hope this is the straw that breaks the camels back and we get these necessities moving again and we can finally tell the tree huggers and all the other environmental wacko's to suck eggs!
We have so much to fix in the future that has been created by the left and we must start today because we have a lot of work to do.

Yup, always enlightening to see practical examples of how power really does grow from the barrel of a gun.

We are all entitled to our opinion, mine is that if they're armed and shoot kill them, if they're stealing and unarmed arrest them.
