Well you still do not go in shooting at people and if you would just think a minute you would realize how that would be reported to the world, used against President Bush and how it would create all kind of havoc.
All we would hear on station after station is that the military shot a poor victim. The word would spread like wildfire through all displaced people and, of course, they would start banding together, hunting for guns, and attacking all those trying to evacuate them.
Of course, we have to make them stop. We need a law and order presence that shows that things are under control - but you don't get that by going in and shooting people that could be drug addicts without their fixes, people not receiving their medications, people desperate to help a sick grandmother.
If all of you keep on talking about shooting people, mowing them down and all the hateful comments people mention they are sick of reading, you will destroy the reputation of FreeRepublic and make us no more than a DU site.
Get a grip and show the hearts and wisdom-filled minds that we have come to expect on FR.
Yes...we would coddle criminals and give them an education, liberal parole policies, cable tv and plenty of recreational activities in prison...Oh wait a minute....
At the very least the people shooting at the copters MUST be shot on sight.
