I don't see the problem with that solution.
Would you rather they kill the rescuers? This cannot be tolerated. Shooting to kill, in some circumstances, is the more compassionate option. This, I believe, is it. More lives will be saved in the long run.
Actually, I believe the poster actually said nothing more than "KILL ALL THE LOOTERS AND THUGS". Right? Please read his/her post again.
