For what it's worth the Bible makes a distinction between those who steal bread to feed themselves and those who steal for other reasons.

I'm sure that some of the theft is survival related.

ROFL

I see people so fat they could live for a month without another meal carrying off whole truckloads of food.

Not doubting you, but I would like to see the scripture reference...

Also if there were some good footage of white folks looting, I dare say we would see that played over and over.

Please quote. I can't recall where that is. And it's probably in the OT, not the NT.

I am not doubting you but will you cite chapter and verse for me?

"I'm sure that some of the theft is survival related."

And who is the victim of these thefts? Could it be that the theft of "necessities" by someone to "feed their children" is putting another person at risk and harming their ability to survive? I read a story this morning that some looters stole food from a nursing home. This nursing home had planned ahead and had 10 days worth of supplies. Now they have none. The end result is the looters might just cause the death of other individuals. They may cause the deaths of people who planned ahead and prepared for the disaster. Is this still an acceptable theft?

Yesterday A caller on Dennis Prager's talk radio program said that if he was stuck in this diaster that he would let his children starve before he would steal/loot food/water.
