If anybody has a different link for the same scanner feed, please post it.

I didn't know this until tonight, but apparently there are hundreds of websites where one can listen to different police scanners.

They are transporting people out of the Dome to Houston, not telling them their destination until the bus is underway.

Are you serious?

How can they make such a life-altering move without informing them?

That was the National Guard trying to take the busses from the Louisiana State Patrol....

They're trying to commandeer buses at the Dome--stealing them.

What are you talking about? Where did you hear that?

It was the guard trying to commandeer every spare bus for the great Dome to Dome run....not crooks.

I think it's so they don't have disorder/rioting/craziness among the people left behind. I don't know. I just heard one officer tell a driver not to advise "the public" of their destination (Houston) until they were away from the Dome.

Your guess is as good as mine.

Exactly, that is how confused the situation has become...the national guard is in charge of the refuge move....and LSP was using the busses to move officers in and out of the city.

Sorry about that. He did say "commandeering." At first it sounded like he was referring to the crowd at the Dome. Turns out he was referring to the National Guard trying to commandeer any bus that came through.

I'm ashamed to say where I found it.

You guessed it: at the DUmp. I went over to see what snide and snarky things they had to say about President Bush causing the hurricane, and lo and behold I found a thread with this scanner on it.

First time the DUmmies have ben good for anything.

Sounds like SWAT has arrived at the hospital or is about to. They're telling non-emergency calls to stay off a certain channel.

I think B-62 was the ambulance(?) en route to the hospital that they were telling to wait. 62 told to proceed. All clear (I hope).
