Maybe you can help us....we have a Freeper in Saucier MS....and we haven't heard from him since the hurricane rolled thru.

Can you tell me about Saucier....did it survive ..?

I don't know- I don't even know what's happened in Hattiesburg, thirty minutes south of Jones County. There just isn't any communication, no local radio stations or TV, absoluely no cell phone service. Stations that are operating- out of places north of I-20, such as where I am tonight- have been getting tons of phone calls from people wanting to know about certain towns or communities, but nobody really knows anything. The only communication working in most of South Mississippi is satellite phone.

And then big media, which can transmit stuff, only focuses on big places, not the smaller towns and communities.
