And remember... A LOT of people left the Dome yesterday, and went to the convention center, when they found out they would be LEAVING New Orleans...
you mean walk thru water with corpses in it, gasoline in it, looters, snipers, broken sewage lines?
How exactly are you going to "walk out"? You dont live there, you arent there and the people waving at helicopters cant walk out. They would if they could. The convention center is dry, but the surrounding areas are not. Those people may be poor but they arent just alying around and being lazy and demanding that someone come pick them up, they have no way out of the city. How is that so hard to understand? Did you not see the video of the edlery and the mothers with kids? They cant wade thru the city waters and violent streets.
