Don't know if that's true. But something to consider.

I think there is still a complete breakdown in communications. Police have no command and control. Some police are getting together in small groups with no orders, but just trying to do the best they can to police the vicinity they are in.

I think this may be the case for some of the missing NO police, but I also think a large percentage of them just went AWOL. In any case, we are seeing more and more reports of precincts with few on duty. Hopefully, that will be changing as police are brought in from other areas of LA and more guardsmen arrive to assist those officers.
