I'm in Ridgeland, Mississippi, about 12 miles north of downtown Jackson, where my office is located.
Call your employer...See if you can take some of your vacation time, sick leave/personal time....or can do any work at home via your computer. A week or two will make a difference.
I have a really good friend who lives in Ridgeland.
We have family in Richland, just south of Jackson.
They are having to boil water, and had no power or phone since Monday evening. They are fine though. We are in touch by text messaging. The cell doesn't work, but tm does.
Wonder how that happens? ;-)
Do you have power? And phone?
How are things there in Ridgeland/Jackson area? Are things still fairly calm?
