You're all heart. Maybe one day you'll be in a disaster and lose everything and somebody will offer you a job picking stringbeans...better start practicing :-)
I've had worse jobs than that when I was hungry. And yes, I have been in hurricanes and earthquakes.
What is your suggestion for getting these people on their feet? Just giving them a never-ending handout is not going to help them.
I don't see why they can't be hired for the clean-up; much of that wouldn't take training. And there was that guy on Fox last night who wanted them to remind trucking companies to look to the refugees first if they needed drivers. And it struck me as odd that one group was going to train their own people to hand out food and supplies to the refugees.
