Years ago my husband was mugged (not hurt, just handed over his cash) in NO, and he was on Bourbon Street at the time, but he had gotten separated from the group he was with (there with other company employees at a convention), and since he was alone, I guess he was vulnerable.
Something about the place always scared me. We love Charleston and Savannah.
