Oh good Lord, did you hear him talk about the guy that was about the drink the stagnant, sewage laden water? And how about those guys in the Ryder truck. "F*** the police!" It sounds like friggin Mad Max out there.

I missed the beginning... caught the water thing again, but missed the shooting part.... what did he say?

Jeff was telling how some police guy gave him and his producer a police flashing light in case they needed it
He said he didn't want to use it .. but it was so bad there and so dark that they couldn't see where they were going
He said they were going down one street with the flashing light when they came upon a Ryder Truck with a couple guys in the back ..
One guy had a sawed off shoot gun .. pointed at him and yell F the police
Jeff said .. they heard a gun shot afterwards .. he isn't sure where it came from .. if it was these guys or from behind their car
Jeff said that he's been to 3rd countries that were war zones and that is what this part of NO reminded him of
He said it is an absolute mess down there

Received this info via private mail from a LA resident. I am so angry - words fail me when our front line to saving lives has been utterly abandoned.

The nurses and Dr.s in NO hospitals need to be rescued soon. A Dr. on the radio said she and the staff are afraid for their lives. The thugs have looted the pharmacy and kitchen at the hospital. They have no water or food, patients are dying. She said they were told it would be 5-7 days before they would be rescued...Gangs with big weapons shot up their cars as they watched from the hospital, powerless to stop them. They stayed behind to help and now they have lost their vehicles and may lose their lives if not rescued soon....
