CBS:

Woman interviewed with her husband's dead body next to her.

She and many others are stranded on the interstate since officials can't evacuate them.

She tried to flag down police as her husband was dying yesterday, but they ignored her completely.

The "infrastracture" has to stay on focus. Those police in the car had a mission. And in the midst of chaos, they'd best stay on focus. Hard choices are exactly what disasters are about.

I just saw it on TV; saw another woman blaming cops or firefighters for something else.

It is particularly dangerous for rescue people to STOP TO HELP in the midst of a very stressed out crowd like this -- they'd be swamped and overwhelmed within minutes. Hysteria rules people in situations like this, not always, but fairly consistently.
