Agreed. Four cats here and they were all in the car with us as we evacuated Charley. I might rethink not evacuating if I knew if I needed rescuing I would have to leave behind my pet family. Animal boarding could be an option if you were an evacuee, but being costly it is not a long term fix. I know FEMA does not think it is a priority, but being able to accommodate pet families is important, in keeping up the spirits of those affected.

As the waters go down, the LAST thing the survivors are going to want to deal with are packs of starving dogs...

Not quite as dangerous as gang members... But...
