He says it is like being nuked.

I said this earlier today, but not on this thread, so I'll say it again.

We all need to be watching what is going on during this crisis and rethinking OUR disaster plans in the event we ever have to put them in action.

I've seen several "items" I am thinking of adding to me, starting with an inflatable raft. :-)

I have been paying close attention to the survuval items as well. So far, I have taken note of the following being of use for the people in New Orleans:

Life Jacket, Helmet, Plastic bags for human waste, axe for chopping out of an attic, handgun for looters and rats (oxymoron), bottled water, (hurricane lamps work good for light), and that is about it for now.
