Two things need to done at the Superdome.
1. The perimeter needs to be secured. Flood the area with SWAT and Ntl. Guard.
2. EVAC the sick via helicopter, and move the healthy via bus
I can't stand to see these people being ignored.

You are doing a great service here, Nauti. Good stuff.
"You know, I'm wondering if the media is hyping these riots stories just for the sensationalism".
Good, old fashioned, journalistic integrity indeed.
I know, I know - that was pretty bad.
Do you have a link? (no sarcasm or doubt I just want to verify)
>>CNN has a live feed of people outside the dome -people are dropping like flies - either they are passing out or they are dying.<<
With CNN's Bush bashing today, I wouldn't put it past them to pay people to fall over and "play dead"
Coupled with nightvision and restore order quicker.
"The unrest is spreading to Baton Rouge. Expect the chaos to reach Houston and San Antonio as the busses of NO refugees arrive."
An LSU friend emailed me two days ago:
"I expect a dramatic increase in crime in the surounding areas, committed by the incredibly high percentage of criminals that inhabited New Orleans and are now refugees (old Louisiana joke - New Orleans is the only city in America where you can cause a crime wave by putting more police on the street)."
The sensationalism helps their ratings. Plus they get to blame it on Bush.
Tin foil hat partially removed now.
I have people near me here in Ohio ask "why don't these folks use their cell phones to get info?"
When I explain that even if the can get power back on to power the towers in the area, how many do they think are still standing after 100+ mph winds.
Usually at theat point I get blank looks.
I am afraid a lot of the rest of the country just don't get it yet!
she's teething :)
The littlest victims........
Of course they are. I am watching live video of some hungry, exhasted, thirsty looking folks, but they appear to be waiting patiently at the Superdome. If they rioted they would overwhelm the couple of hundred NG there in about 2 seconds.
Well, well, Ron Reagan on MSNBC saying today brought good news, help and food.
HOLY CRAP.
They actually sent a lot of frail people out last night and earlier today, to a special medical center (not to the Astrodome), but I think it's been a long, hot day and obviously everybody in that building is in a pretty weakened condition by now. It doesn't take much to dehydrate and pass out or have a seizure.
