Not everyone views New Orleans as such a great place. I'm from south La. and I find New Orleans smelly, filthy, and having just a bit too much tolerance for debauchery...but hey, that's just me. :)
So what am I to conclude from that observation? NO deserved what it got? It's a good thing that the city was battered and flooded?
