Please also pray for the National Guard troops who are in NEw Orleans and who are being sent in there. My nephew is a New Orleans policeman, please pray for him. He is a very good guy not a looter I do not know the circumstances of those officers who were recorded looting, was it food and water or were they taking TVs and DVDs?

Diva, your nephew and his comrades in blue are in my prayers as they go about their monumental task.
I've seen NO LE in action before. They are good and what is going on there now must just sicken them. This is "their" city. Don't be concerned about the two cops if they were stealing - it does not reflect back on the good guys in my book.

Shoes. They were taking shoes and when they were confronted by the reporter, they said they were not looting, they were looking for looters. They were surrounded by looters but were just strolling along the isles, looking at merchandise. Let me make this clear. I have no problem with people taking food, water and personal care items. I was evacuated from the Philippines when Mount Pinatubo erupted and had to live in similar conditions as the people in the Superdome. I had no food, water or personal hygiene items and we were on a military instillation. I thought about looting the grocery store, but we got food in time. I understand that. TV's, high-heel shoes, cameras, guns, gold chains. Where is the necessity in that.
