But alot of people don't have that family network of support. The average, working pay check to pay check family will be the ones hurt the most and helped the least...IMO. Massive, feel good relief efforts will help those left behind (think looters). Its the middle class who will suffer, long term. I just can't lose the thoughts of families, stuck in motels along interstates, with a couple of day worth of clothes and cash AND NOTHING to go back to...and no money coming in.

There has to be relief operations aimed at those who evacuated set in place. Obviously, the rescue of those in harms way is paramount, but there are others displaced who can't be forgotten.

I would be shocked if almost everyone didn't have family that would help them in a time of need.
