To: My Favorite Headache
This story needs to be told as I have spoken to people in NY and NJ who tell me that they don't consider Mississippi and Louisiana to be a real part of the U.S., only major cities really deserve attention in situations like this.

I can vouch for the mentality. I dated a girl from just outside NYC when I was in college low those many years ago. The one thing her entire family was agreed upon was she had gone to "the sticks" to go to school. IT WAS DELAWARE FOR PETE SAKE!

They seemed to think they lived near the summit of the mountain and everything rolled downhill as it got futher away from them.

It's like that in Chicago too. Though being in the Midwest, they have slightly more compassion.
