CNN reporting up to 100,000 might have drowned...anyone else see that? Based on what data, I wonder.

Presuming 1 M residents, and 80% evaced. They are assuming 1/3 death rate at this point.
I'll tell you what...while the numbers are hard to believe, there are two parishes (the ones to the south and east of NO) that have been wiped completely off the map.

seems extremely high if you ask me. I am willing to consider several thousand....but 100,000..seems really, really high.
