I thought the Kennedy men were all dead, drunk, or in prison. Who is this loon - the guy on the grassy knoll?

I just posted a thread on the extended news sidebar about hurricanes in that Gulf area since the 1500's. The data was put together by the Air Force Weather Detachment at Eglin AFB.

The records get much better in the 1800's.

In short, there was an average of about 1 hurricane every other year.

The range though, went from a few hurricanes a year up to only one in about a 4-5 year stretch.

In short, there's nothing unusual about there being a hurricane in this region this year. Kyoto has nothing to do with it.

RFK Jr is the mediocre son of a mediocre son of an exceptional manufacturer and peddler of bathtub gin.

His father's assassination, as tragic as it was, spared the left something even more painful: His father's defeat at the hands of Richard Nixon.

"Perhaps it was Barbour’s memo that caused Katrina, at the last moment, to spare New Orleans and save its worst flailings for the Mississippi coast."

Wasn't it Pat Robertson that claimed a hurricane was turned in the Atlantic by prayer a few yrs. ago? Wasn't he scorned for the statement?

JFK jr. is in for it now. /sarc

If RFK Jr. is so concerned about environmental issues, then he should know about EROSION, and the fact that N.O. is built on a house of cards. They don't call it the Mississippi Delta for nothing! Poor emergency planning couldn't be the fault of Demo-stooges being in charge of the state, now could it?

You'd think the little jerk would have the class to keep his pie hole shut at least until the bodies had been buried...or even counted. RFK Jr's comments are worse than foolish, worse than merely factually unsound. They are insensitive, ill-timed and in bad taste.

The Kennedy family is irrelevant. It's a myth.

So how do they explain category 3-5 hurricanes that struck the US in the years before fossil fuel was in wide spread usage? Well if Bush and Barbour caused this, no problem they can just use their mojo to get the waters to recede.

"Who is this loon - the guy on the grassy knoll?"

He's the nut job who is leading the opposition against the construction of a wind farm off of Cape Cod because the windmills will disrupt the view from the energy sucking estate in Hyannis, also known as the "Kennedy Compound."

"As Hurricane Katrina dismantles Mississippi’s Gulf Coast, it’s worth recalling the central role that Mississippi Governor Haley Barbour played in derailing the Kyoto Protocol and kiboshing President Bush’s iron-clad campaign promise to regulate CO2,"

Ummm, Bush said he clearly OPPOSED Kyoto in debates against Gore. Besides, every computer model shows, Kyoto will have zero effect on global warming. What a friggin moron.

Just saw some weather person on the Weather Channel last night saying that MA is due for a massive storm. Wouldn't that just be too bad. This little privileged creep doesn't have the sense to keep his yap shut, does he.

Why in the world anyone would care what this former druggie has to say is beyond me. The fact that his last name is Kennedy is not enough for me. I just get more and more disgusted by these leftest every day. Common sense, and love of country are foreign to them. Just find a way, any way to disparage any republican. That is all they are about. They should be ignored and treated as the self-serving ignoramuses that they are.

Yes, I have really had it with this blame, blame, blame crowd.

Didn't Falwell or Robertson take a lot of flack from the media when one of them suggested that God had lifted His hand of protection over the nation on 9-11 because of its cultural degradation?

I wonder if the media will pounce on this radical nutcase for saying basically the same thing?

And yes, I mean that as a rhetorical question.
