Does anyone know the gun laws in NO?

1998 - October
New Orleans, LA becomes the first US city to file suit against gun makers, firearms trade associations, and gun dealers. The city's suit seeks recovery of costs attributed to gun-related violence.

How ironic. You'll also have to remember that Louisiana probably has the holdover Democrat gun control laws implemented to control "the coloreds".

Same as it is elsewhere in LA - open carry and shall issue permits.

The problem is that NO is overrun with the "poor" and is heavily gang-infested.

Looks like I might be wrong on Louisiana's gun laws. Though NO's mayor remains a gun-hating Leftist a**hole, the STATE laws are enough to make Sarah Brady's head explode.
