I'll bet if every person on this thread were to be stuck in one of these towns right now, with a handfull of kids, no refrigerator, no water to drink, 'looting' some food, water and medicine may not sound so immoral after all...
If my kids were hungry or sick, I would do 'whatever it takes' to make them comfortable...
AND steal a tv so they could watch SpongeBob in high definition.
Yeah, the "do anything to feed your kids" has been covered. What's your excuse for the looting electronics? The kids are now bored?
Maybe...but things would have to get pretty bad for me to have my children see me stealing something. And if the unimaginable happened I would confine my larceny to what was an absolute necessity to survive that leaves out jeans, TVs and DVDs etc.
JUDGEMENT DAY: "Yes God, I know you said not to steal. But my children we're uncomfortable. They needed the CD player to play the latest Rap music."
I assume you mean't "... for them to live ..." Even though, the End doesn't justify the Means.
Is the fine black man with the bucket of beer helping to save his family? Oh please!!!
I have heard that nearly every Red Cross unit in the country is turning out to help. There will be so much help just there for the asking. This is how America is. The American people are always there for their fellow man in times of trouble. There is no need to steal.
