All we're talking about in this case is three days food and water. There is no excuse.
There were several people visiting from out of town and from abroad. A guy from Australia said that he found out the day he arrived that the hurricane was headed to NOLA. He had two days to evacuate with no chance of catching a flight out, a bus or a train (all booked). No car, no local friends or family....and unfortunately...he didn't pack 3 days worth of food and water in his carry on.
