Forgot to mention parking: it's on city streets in a residential area. Park on the east side, and try to get north of Elder street to avoid Pinkos. Many of us pop in to the McDonald's two or three blocks north of the hospital as a pit stop before the FReep.
One week, out of a dozen FReeps, I ran into a panhandler in the women's room. She was very grateful for a dollar and didn't bother me further.
Take Metro to Takoma station. Board 52 bus marked "L'Enfant Plaza".
Trip from Takoma to WRAMC is less than 10 minutes.
