I don't know about more versatile since most of the world champions have been Ex-collegiate wrestlers. If I am not mistaken, Randy Coutere, ex-wrestler at Oklahoma State is a 3 time world champion.

I agree...if you aren't very good at wrestling it would be hard to good at UF, Mark Coleman was a good example. Your body needs to learn balance gained from wrestling...I don't any champions who gained that strictly from jujitsu, but I don't keep up with it all that much either, it's too expensive.
