Around Saturday or Sunday they reported that the cruise ship....I think they said Carnival....that regularly docks in New Orleans has now docked somewhere on the Texas coast.
Regarding Cruise ships in NO, yes there are several. We did a cruise out of NO last June on a large Carnival ship the Conquest. It left on Sunday at 6pm and returned early the next Sunday. We went to Jaimaica, Grand Cayman (before it got destroyed) and Mexico. It did a 180 turn on the MS river right in front of the highway 90 bridge and headed out to the gulf. We were escorted out by several of those orange and white coast guard helicopters that are now picking up survivors. We spent an evening in the downtown business district. Took the kids to see Bourbon Street (no we didn't let them go in any of the bars). We stayed about a block from the tall Hyatt that had all the windows blown out. Really sad to see all the destruction now. Glad went took the kids to see if before all of this though. May be a while before we can go back.
