The Army Corps of Engineers now says that the water in the city is level with the water in the lake. No more rising waters expected in New Orleans. They are bringing in 12,000 sandbags that weigh 20,000 lbs. to plug the leaks in the levees.

Something about this plan bothers me. I am not engineer but my gut tells me that this could make it worse. I think that the expectation of unintended consequences is not unreasonable. The river is dynamic, not static. Anyway, like I said, I am not an engineer so nuff said.
