If I read the tide tables correctly, the tide is heading out and high tide will occur again at 8AM Thursday.
Given the situation, a breach on the river is anyone's guess.
How much higher is the river than the Lake Pont?

I think the river is about 10 feet higher. I'm sure someone on here will know precisely.
