I'm hearing from friends and family in Houma today. The only thing working are the phones. They had no major damage and no deaths. They can't hear about any of what we are hearing and seeing because of power. They are complaining about the heat and no ATMs. LOL. God bless them. I love them all, but they have NO IDEA how lucky they are.
The cell phones? They were trying to fire those up first.
Great news! Thanks for sharing.
I've exchanged a couple e-mails with a guy from Lockport who lost his barn roof but otherwise is fine and (somehow) still has internet service (generator + satellite, I'm guessing).
